Technetix is thrilled to announce that employees managed to raise a total of £27,400 for Chestnut Tree House in 2015.
The specialist children’s hospice based in Sussex, UK, provides support for children and their families. The staff at Chestnut Tree House offer a safe, fun and nurturing environment for those in their care.
To raise the money staff undertook various challenges including Technetix’ HR manager, Sue Lloyd shaving off her hair. Numerous smaller fundraisers were held through the year, including a breakfast sandwich morning and Christmas jumper day. Staff also volunteered at the hospice by helping with some gardening activities and cleaning a pond.
The money raised means that Technetix has paid for the running costs of the hospice for four days as part of their 'pay for a day' scheme.
Technetix’ charity committee has made plans for various fundraisers in 2016. It is hoped that employees will raise enough money to pay for another four days. So far in 2016, Technetix employees took part in another volunteering day on the 7th April where they helped clear a flower bed in the gardens. Recently, the UK office has set up a charity ‘tuck box’ so staff can purchase various drinks and snacks while raising money for the charity - this has proved very popular so far!
Other fundraising activities
Outside of corporate fundraising activities, staff members throughout Technetix have been taking part in challenges to raise money for other charities.
